Summary: the hessian did not expect there would be an attack in an early morning. Before they can actually formed and fight orderly, they were being surrounder by Washington's troops, and eventually, after their general was wounded, they surrender to George Washington and together, they made their way back to Pennsylvania, where some hessian soldiers had recorder down explicit details about the journey.
